DE ANGELENA 55 KEYLESS DUTCH STYLE STREET ORGAN
De Angelena is a dutch style street organ made by David Leach & Mark Waltham. It is of 55note but plays various scales, mainly 52 Limonaire.

The organ is the last one to be built in the 20th century. Its playing system is the ODEON midi, however, there is at this
moment a key frame being built for it,as many English arrangers do not use midi.

De Angelena has 146 pipes which are sectioned up as VIOLIN,BOURDON,ALTO VIOLIN,CELLO &12 NOTE BOURDON BASS. There is also an 18 note glock
Bass drum,snare drum,two cymbals & a two beater woodblock.
The organ front was constructed by Graham Spencer

This organette is undergoing restoration at present, but when finished, it will play off card discs, one duration of the disc is one verse & chorus.
Sounds very similar to the Mignon.
THE IRON MAN 42 KEY DE CAP/PLUER DUTCH STREET ORGAN
This very unique Dutch Street Organ started its life as a Cafe Organ in the early 1920s.In 1953 the organ suffered extensive fire damage & it was at that point, the organ, or what was left of it,was bought by well known Dutch organ Renters Perlee. All that remained of the Cafe organ was the DeCap violins & accompniment pipework.
Perlee allready had another partly destroyed organ in their workshops at that time, but rather than build one out of two, they decided to rebuild both organs to traditional Dutch street organ scale.
They would both have virtualy the same decorated fronts & go by the names of "The Iron Henry" (Bursens) &"The Iron Man"(DeCap).
It is the Iron man that is seen here & is now in the ownership of Graham Spencer. It forms part of the large Organ collection found in the New Forest.

"CLASSICA" 20 NOTE JOHN SMITH
STREET ORGAN
This organ has a lovely tale to tell.
6 year old Ashley Spencer allways wanted to be just like Dad
We tried very hard to find him an organ that would suit him
but without success, untill one day, in a passing conversation
with John Smith of Flitwick, Beds,
it was decided that John Himself would build Ashley an organ
that would suit his needs & his age.
The result is a superb mellow sounding organ,
completely different to his other instruments,
as it was built to play indoors, as well as out.
In the two years Ashley has had the organ
he has collected many pounds for the I.P.S.E.A.
charity, but most of all, he can allways be seen with
a huge smile on his face, he now has an organ ,
just like Dad.
Ashley is now 9 years old, & still possibly is the youngest organ
owner in the country ?
