ROYALMUSIC RECORDING SERVICES
Royalmusic Recording Services
This is a venture, that was started back in 1999.Set up purely for the recording
of mechanical instruments.
As a recording engineer, GRAHAM SPENCER has so far been responsible for some
of the finest organ recordings ever made.
Starting out as a proffessional Entertainer & compere back in the early 1970s,Graham
worked with some of the biggest names in show business. It was one of these names
who asked Graham to work on the production of an album.Graham had his first full
time post as a recording engineer, at Trident studios, where he worked under the
guidence of the late Gus Dudgeon.
A move to the BBC as a technical operator, followed by an upgrade to presenter
on Local radio Brighton happened in the early 1980s.It was there that he met three
guys, all with a passion for recorded music. From there Airship Studios was formed,
in Bognor Regis, it dealt with local Rock, country, Folk, Synth pop, & General
music recording.
Airship fell apart in 1990, but Graham never lost his passion for recorded music,
& also his long time love of Mechanical music, together, led him to where
he stands today, a leader in his field, respected amongst his peers, & most
of all, a mighty fine recording engineer & producer of Mechanical organ music.
As an owner of many fine organs, Graham has vast knowledge of pipe coniguration,
bearing in mind that recording a mechanical instrument is totally different than
recording, say, the human voice, or an electronic instrument.
His customer list reads like a who's who in the world of preservation, &
has also been credited with producing the greatest ever recording of any mechanical
instrument, namely the 93 key Andreas Ruth & Sohn Fairground organ CD CATALOGUE NUMBERS AMC9301 & AMC9302

Each time this organ comes out, there is something different about it.Modern
organ building at its very best, the 98 key Whitehead Marenghi owned by James
Noyce
Now in the hands of Ian Rogers, this 92 key David Leach concert organ will soon
change....for the better.
At first i did not like this organ as it was too perfect, however after a few
grunts and groans it showed me that it was human after all, well almost. 72 key
